Identity, confidence and hope through the arts
Athens Photo Project began their mission nearly two decades ago.
The local organization works to improve mental health support in Southeast Ohio using the medium of photography. This involves arts education, self expression, peer support, and social inclusion. The program acts as a model for other communities and directly works with a variety of research peers.
Since 2000, Athens Photo Project has produced 24 photo exhibitions displayed at local, state, and national levels. They also provide ongoing photography classes in Southeast Ohio.
The organization needed a new website to help raise the profile of art within the realm of behavioral healthcare and promote their mission.

We created a robust, easily navigable and image-forward website to accomplish a range of goals and features:
- explain multiple facets of the organization’s approach
- promote their programs, including classes and exhibitions
- support multiple avenues for getting involved
- lists of staff, board, sponsors and other administrative info
- news area for write-ups about the program’s functions
Also, no matter where someone is on the website they are always one click away from being able to donate to the cause.
We always enjoy the chance to work with organizations that have a powerful, visible positive impact on our community. We’re proud that our website helps support the Athens Photo Project mission!
